[MEDIA RELEASE] MELBOURNE-BASED START-UP SIGNMEE TO BE RECOGNISED AT IAWARDS

Less than a year after its launch, Melbourne based technology start-up Signmee will be up against some of the nation’s top tech enterprises this week as it vies for top honours in two categories at the prestigious iAwards.

The iAwards recognise the best and most innovative solutions and inspirational companies and individuals in the Australian ICT industry.

Signmee, a new web based technology set to revolutionise the way online documents are signed, was created by former teacher turned IT expert Nicole Bouchier.

Signmee has already picked up two State Merit Awards in earlier judging – in the Start-up Company and New Product categories –presented at an iAwards ceremony in Melbourne back in June.

Signmee is also nominated in the Start Up and New Product Categories in the National Awards, which will be announced at the national iAwards ceremony this Friday August 29.

Signmee is a global ‘customer focused’ data sharing, signing and storing service for businesses.

The technology behind Signmee enables businesses to rapidly build and share online forms with customers – eliminating the need to print out sign and scan and then fax or email documents.

Signmee has already been picked up by over 100 organisations across Australia and New Zealand, with schools, business and enterprise among those taking up the technology to facilitate their data collection and forms signing online.

Ms Bouchier, a recipient of a 2012 Commercialisation Australia grant, spent two years developing Signmee before its launch in November 2013.

She said she had envisioned that Signmee would “change the way people thought about data capture”.

“My vision was that Signmee would prove to be so simple that even the sceptics would see that signoff does not require a piece of paper and a pen, or a squiggle to identify yourself and sign-offs,” she said.

Ms Bouchier, who has worked in the technology sector since 2002, said she was thrilled to be recognised at the iAwards.

“Looking at previous iAwards recipients, and what they have gone on to do since receiving iAwards, it truly is an honour to be among such great company,” she said.
